LAURA BELTRAN-FIGUEROA
About Me
I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of Utah and a Post-Doctoral Associate at the Center for Women and Work. Before joining the Center for Women and Work, I served as a fellow at Voices for Utah Children.
My research interests are in feminist economics, gender economics, development economics, and policy. Specifically, I focus on examining gender violence and the distribution of child care and household responsibilities in developing countries.
I am passionate about teaching and committed to fostering inclusive and interactive learning environments. My approach incorporates a blend of pedagogical methods tailored to engage students from diverse backgrounds.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, baking, and spending time with my two cats!
